New Filter - Thanks for the info

THANKS for a great post. Changed the filter and 10W40 oil yesterday with a Bosch 3323 filter from AutoZone. The black color doesn't match
the Candy Plasma BLUE Zed, but the extra 1 inch looks a little more effective than the OEM Kawasaki filter. Still riding but getting a little cooler in North Carolina. Ride Safe Y'All !!

Awsome info. It's about time for another oil change. Gotta try that larger filter. Now what brand to use. I know all about how crappy the Fram line up has gotten so they are out for good.
Thanks much!

I was using the SuperTech ST7317 and Rotella T synthetic (which worked really well - oil looked like it did whenever I put it in, 1200 miles later), but this last oil change I decided to switch it up a bit and I went with the Fram Tough Guard TG7317 and Mobil 1 Racing 4T. it seems to be doing good, oil change went from $20 to $42.
I am pretty anal about switching my oil so I have had at least 5 oil changes so far and my bike hasnt even hit 5k miles (will by the end of the week). only time it hasnt had full synth is first 1200 miles, I dont know what PO used so ill assume it was regular dino.
but with the last oil change costing twice as much ill probably ride this one out about twice as long.

Jeez, I have been using the K & N twice now. Just did an oil change 2 weeks ago.
Guess I will be switching next time.

if it's worth $2 and 6-8 weeks to anyone, you can get a rebate on purolator filters until july 14th.

Just did oil changes on my Jeep and Impala and got a big surprise when I bought filters. The Purolator Pure One has been "coated for grip" like the Fram. Instead of that nice shade of metalic blue, the entire filter is now the color and consistency of sand. Now I'm not one to normally choose beauty over function, but there is no way that "butt ugly thing" is going on my naked bike.
I'll be switching to the Bosch which is painted black and rated the
second
best filter.
