I have a friend who keeps his ZX12R in his apartment. He lives in a high bike theft area, so he made a ramp to ride into the lobby of his apartment building, and then into his apartment - he lives on the ground floor. He does this every time he takes the bike out. A PITA but he has no choice.
Seattle is built on hills and some of the intersections are quite steep.
My first trip through CA was on the Vulcan, and during the summer so much road construction was a'happ'nin. I wish I could have gotten a picture of one of the signs, but there was no where to pull over and I had cars behind me. Sign said "Road Rehabilitation Ahead". In California you don't fix roads, you rehab them.
