Hey guys. I cleaned out my PM box and inadvertently killed all of our conversations regarding this test.
Please post your weight as accurately as possible with full riding gear.
I need to average the three of you so I can pick my valving shim stacks accordingly.
Shock's gonna be ready to go to the first tester in about a week. (I'm gonna test it for a few miles myself first.)

Cool beans. I'm elbow deep in setting up a few sets of forks at the moment, but should have the shock done shortly.
This is the second shock, actually. The first shock had pitting on the shaft that was so bad, I couldn't justify trying to save it or risk it leaking.

Sorry about the delay. Just busy with the "real" job and the family.
Anyhoo, two are on the bench and a couple nights work away from completion. (I know I've said that before, but it's reality now.)
One is already spoken for outright, that gets sent out first, then the tester unit will go out to make it's rounds.
I realize for some us the season is waning, so ASAP, I promise.

I'm doing a
1000 mile Iron Butt ride
on Sep. 30th. Would be cool to have a shiny new kick-ass shock by then.

I rode to work this morning. It was 41 degrees out, so I think my season is about over. I am riding over to Detoit for a day long road trip with a bunch of guys on Oct 7 and an overnight trip on Oct 21, after that Im putting the bike away for the season.
Your welcome to join us on the Oct 7th ride if you want to ride up to meet us in the Ann Arbor area. Let me know if you want details.

This is why I'll never move north. My riding season
never
ends. This morning's ride was in the 70s and beautiful!

Hi Scottymac,
Can you please tell me if the zx6r shock is going to alter the ride hight of the zed.
I find the standard shock to be very average and am looking for an upgrade but my reserch shows the zx6 shock to be 12mm longer than the z750 shock and was wondering how much this is going to affect the ride hight and handling of my bike.
