Rebuilt ZX-6R shock testers; please read
scottymac:
Hey guys. I cleaned out my PM box and inadvertently killed all of our conversations regarding this test.
Please post your weight as accurately as possible with full riding gear.
I need to average the three of you so I can pick my valving shim stacks accordingly.
Shock's gonna be ready to go to the first tester in about a week. (I'm gonna test it for a few miles myself first.)
Rider:
215 all geared up. Now Im back from vacation and ready to test out the shock.
scottymac:
Cool beans. I'm elbow deep in setting up a few sets of forks at the moment, but should have the shock done shortly.
This is the second shock, actually. The first shock had pitting on the shaft that was so bad, I couldn't justify trying to save it or risk it leaking.
Rider:
What is the current status?
scottymac:
Sorry about the delay. Just busy with the "real" job and the family.
Anyhoo, two are on the bench and a couple nights work away from completion. (I know I've said that before, but it's reality now.)
One is already spoken for outright, that gets sent out first, then the tester unit will go out to make it's rounds.
I realize for some us the season is waning, so ASAP, I promise.
