Took the zed out for a putt today. Weather was awesome, traffic was barely existent, so after picking up bread for family members at my favorite bakery, I headed farther away from home. In all, the ride was 180 miles and I got 48 mpg. Some pix...
1st - high meadow marsh at jct. Sunrise Hwy/Hwy 79
2nd - Mt. Laguna backroad
3rd - looking down Engineer Road
4th - overlooking Lake Henshaw

Cool pictures man...I was hoping to go on a long ride this weekend, but some fool backed into my Zed. We'll see how long it takes to get it fixed.
What kind of luggage is that? It looks like it fits pretty well. Do you like it?

The luggage is made by Marsee.
http://www.marseeproducts.com/
He has a shop here in Temecula, CA (where I live). He makes tank bags and tail packs and uses heavy duty ballistic nylon with large toothed YKK zippers. There also are reflective panels sewn into the sides to help with visibility. He also makes riding jackets, and I have one of those, as well.
The tank bag is a magnetic mount with 8 magnets and sits well without moving. The bag expands to about 9" high and can hold quite a lot. The tail pack is strapped onto the seat with the straps criss-crossing under the rear fender. I used some clear shelf paper between the straps and the plastic of the rear fender to help prevent any scratching (that works, too!).
I hope you get her fixed soon! Sorry to hear about that!!
