BIKE REPAIR

came off bike and not sure what to do next: spend £1500 to get it back on the road: put it through insurance and spent £4000: or try and sell it as is? any suggestions

No idea. Check autotrader. How bad is the damage. Is it cosmetic. Or have you bent anything chassis wise. Maybe fix it and keep it. I crashed my zed 2 years ago and rebuilt it easily enough with bits I found on eBay. Looks better the new now

not sure i will be able to use it again because of the left wrist, the frame is good mostly cosmectic apart the fuel tank in orange, oil cover housing, cluch leaver and rear body work

Sorry to hear about the wrist. Not good. When I crashed mine. I replaced the fuel tank clutch cover rear plastics and headlight cover plus full respray. Cost roughly 800 quid. All bought from eBay. All second hand. All easy to do with a Haynes manual

sounds like the same sort of damage have looked on ebay nothing there thinking of getting repaired and the selling the bike, still not sure value looking at various places think £3500-£4000

3500 - 4000 I think would be a safe starting point. As long as all of the parts damaged were repaired with new OEM or undamaged used OEM parts. The buyer will not be able to tell it was wrecked unless you tell them. I am one for the honest approach tell them up front that it was dumped and that all damaged parts were replaced with replacement parts either new or used. As long as nothing is wrong with the frame or other mechanical bits it should grab that price depending on Miles/Kilometers
