Down Shifting problem resolved

(1/2) > >>

sparky:
This is my first post (ever) and I just thought I would say what a great help its been already, I gave a shout about a downshifting problem and got a reply straight away advising to lube the Gear lever linkages - 10mins of elbow grease and half a tin of WD40 later and problem resolved. Also needed a new front tyre so read through a few old posts and saw the Conti road attacks got some good reviews, had one fitted yesterday and what a difference (and its not even scrubbed in yet). Keep up the great advice.

hey, chris. i'm glad it worked out. there's lots of great info on here and good people to boot. :)

strommer:
Yeah, but some of us good people get tired of the "boot". Ouch!

jay547:
the wd40 didn't work for me but switching to rotella did.

sparky:
Not sure Rotella is available in the UK but I will definately keep an eye out for it. Unfortunately my downshifter is starting to stick again, I blame it on the Manchester weather (80% rain, 10% sleet, 5% fog & 5% everything else) New tin of elbow grease required.
