Biker speak, or "rider-ese"
mtn_cat:
I had this idea of posting a thread where everyone can post a word that they use when talking "biker talk". Hope that makes sense. Here's a for example: Cage = car/truck/suv/van
Are there other words/phrases people use to describe something that's biker/biking (sport bike, cruiser, or touring) specific?
Can the admins make this a sticky?

We have got to get the Brits in on this one; they've got some great ones like "minger", which absolutely slays me every time I read it. "Whoa, that was quite the minger you pulled back there, mate."
Actually, I'm having a hard time even thinking of any to get you started out...maybe it's just already engrained into my head that I don't even think if the word or phrase is someting a n00b might not understand.
If we get anyting here, we should probably move it into the modified forum Chris set up last week so it's all in one place.
Uhhh....let's see....know what a highside is? Tankslapper?
Bigbadmad:
I know a female bike group called "The tankslappers", very funny... although thinking about it you may have to be a Brit to get the pun?

Look no further for a very amusing, colourful collection of phrases:

Yeah, cagers for people who drive around in their mobile obstacles is pretty common here.

I often buy the latest copy of the Viz when travelling by train to London, it never fails to make me laugh out loud when reading it
Rogers Profanisaurus is so amusing because it is true.
