Picture thread...
« on: August 19, 2011, 04:46:32 AM »
Hey gents...and ladies,

Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, but I didn't notice any place for posting up shots of member bikes.  So let's see em'.

Mine: 2005 Z750s
Mods: 2005 636 swinger, wheel, brakes; airbox removed and pod filters installed; fairing removed and headlight replaced; painted; PAIR valves removed and blocked off; +3 rear Supersprox gear and chain; fender eliminated; forks dropped 10mm; Race tech fork internals and Gold Valve Emulators (636 fork swap in the works)

I like that stripped down look.

Did you do any write up on the swing arm swap?

...weeeeeeeeelllllllll...not on here.  Sorry.  :-[

I did however post the entire build over at customfighters.com.
http://www.customfighters.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32497

It goes over every step, all the little hang ups and issues from beginning to...present (since it's not really done yet).  I may copy and past the swing arm portion of the project here.

Thank you by the way.

I like the swingarm swap, and may consider doing it to my son's bike.  Here are a couple pics of his bike:  Rear fender removed, Clear Alternatives integrated blue taillight, Puig hugger, Proton flush-mount front turn sigs, ZX-6R shock, bar-end mirrors, Scorpion Ti flame muffler, blacked-out engine cases.

Hello Chaos.
I saw the build thread on custom fighters when you sent it to me a year or so ago.  I was doing the cafe build, but priorities have changed (again ::) ).

I will put pix up on a build thread.

What are you doing with your stock forks when you do the 636 swap?  My fork tubes are damaged and leaking.  Let me know if you are going to sell them.

Chaos, where is your exhaust clamp?

Cool pics! The bike looks good and the cornering skills are working for sure.

Belly pan is a Powerbronze, it arrived black, but a little silver spray paint did the trick.

Mirrors are Buell firebolt.

I will have to take some more recent pics with some new bits installed:
Rear hugger
Two Bros carbon exhaust
barkbuster hand guards
32kms, PR 2's, Pazzos, ZG DB screen, corbin, K&N oil/air filters, Trex sliders, heated grips, Givi trunk, PCIII, TBR Carbon "black series" exhaust, hugger, cowl

Shark, which Givi hard case model is on the bike?  I like that size...not too big, but looks like it will fit your RF1000 helmet (I actually own the same one as in your photo, with the Joust scheme.)  Is it the E470 or E370 Monolok?   How are you liking it?

It is the E370 case.  I used to have the larger case on my old ninja and it was too wide and showed up in my mirrors.
The E370, is not to wide and I don't even notice it is back there.   It will hold my RF1000 and a sweater and rain gloves.  Plus the E370 can be had for little cash, I bought mine new for 180$.  (black one was cheaper 155$)

cheers
Paul
