How bizzare!
You can tell that the ignition is switched off...so how come I've got a tacho reading?!
I am pretty sure mine did something similar when i disconnected the battery...

I have fitted 2 washing machine hose sealing rubbers to each of the bolts that hold the rearsets on - it helped a small bit with the footpeg vibrations...!
Other than that its fairly quiet at the moment - the mirrors I have just accepted as a "passing glance" at what is going on behind!

Does anyone know what the distance is between the mounting bolts center to center is in mm's ? having a random thought about mirrors from an R1 or Fazer.

We need someone to invent or retrofit a fairing stay. Remember those from the mid 90's?

Well I just had a conversation with Kawasaki UK and they cagily admited to knowing of the vibrations with the fairing and its delt with on a case by case basis. Now when I messing around with the bike out of curriosity I reved it up to 5.5k while stationary not for long mind but just long enougth to see that airflow is not contributing to this. Incidentally I noticed that the whole bike started to buzz in pitch with the mirrors now this is making me wonder if the cause is more to do with engine mounting than how the fairing is fixed to the frame. Ive had a word with the bike shop I got it from and the garage have agreed to take a look at the whole vibration issue. ile post more when I get a responce from them about this, Ime currious if this affects other kawasaki models zx6 / 9 etc if anyone knows?

I doubt that the zx6/9 will have the same issue as they have a diff frame. The engine is obviously causing the vibration. However, isolating the vibes are a diff story. I wonder if softer bushings will make a difference?

When I stripped my bike and rebuilt it the engine vibes stopped. Instead they vibrated all the engine mount bolts loose. I have since retorqued them all and used thread lock glue . Engine vibes are back again. Bollocks. Thinking about fitting rubber washers everywhere and see if that cures it
